MY INVOLVEMENT
TROJAN MARKETPLACE HAS BEEN A PASSION PROJECT OF MINE FOR THE LAST YEAR. I HAVE BEEN INVOLVED IN DESIGN, LOGISTICS, VENDOR RELATIONS, AND ANYWHERE I AM NEEDED.
-
It all begins with an idea. Trojan Marketplace came out of an organization called SparkSc. I have always looked up to people who start small businesses, and with the pandemic, many students turned hobbies into full-fledged businesses. I wanted to create a space or event allowing students to showcase and sell their work, whether food, clothes, or art.
-
I built a committee through Spark Sc and learned how to be a project manager—managing a team, making content plans, and figuring out logistics with student vendors and USC.
Our first event happened on April 20th, 2022. Our second and third events followed in the Fall of 2022 and Spring of 2023. -
Trojan Marketplace is now its own student organization. We look forward to what this community becomes in the years to come at USC.
